Gillette Venue Cup | 2022 Tournament

The 2022 Gillette Venus Cup National Tournament took place between the 20th - 22nd December in Lincoln. Congratulations to the following teams who competed at the Tournament:

Epsom Grammar School (Auckland), Waikato Diocesan School (Northern Districts), New Plymouth Girls' High School (Central Districts), Wellington Girls' College (Wellington), Christchurch Girls' High School (Canterbury), Otago Girls' High School (Otago).

Champions

Congratulations to Epsom Grammar, who went unbeaten through four matches to win the 2022 Gillette Venus Cup.

Runners Up

Congratulations to Christchurch Girls' High School, who won three from four matches to finish as 'runners up' at the 2022 Gillette Venus Cup.

Tournament MVP's

Congratulations to Beth O'Connor (Otago Girls') and Kate Chandler (Wellington Girls')who were named as joint Tournament MVP's.

O'Connor claimed seven wickets and scored 71 runs for Otago Girls', while Chandler scored 167 runs or Wellington Girls' (including two half centuries, eventually finishing as top run-scorer for the tournament). 

Spirit of Cricket Award

Congratulations to New Plymouth Girls' High School, who were voted by tournament officials as the team who best upheld the Spirit of Cricket at the 2022 Gillette Venus Cup.
