Girls First XI Cup | 2024 Tournament

The 2024 First XI Cup Tournament took place between the 11th - 13th December in Lincoln. Congratulations to the following teams who competed at the Tournament:

Christchurch Girls' High School, Otumoetai College, Palmerston North Girls High School, St Hilda's Collegiate, Takapuna Grammar School, Tawa College.

Champions

Congratulations to Tawa College, who went unbeaten through four matches to win the 2024 First XI Cup.

Runners Up

Congratulations to Christchurch Girls' HS, who won three from four matches to finish as 'runners up' for 2024.

Tournament MVP

Congratulations to Rishika Jaswal (Takapuna Grammar)who was awarded Tournament MVP.

Jaswal finished as the second highest run-scorer with 182 runs at an average of 60.67, and second highest wicket-taker with ten wickets at an incredible average of 2.70.

Spirit of Cricket Award

Congratulations to Tawa College, who were voted by tournament officials as the team who best upheld the Spirit of Cricket at the 2024 First XI Cup.

  • Aria Kearney (Palmerston North Girls' HS) – 104 runs @ 52, 1 wicket.
  • Hannah O’Connor (St Hilda's Collegiate) – 63 runs @ 21, 1 wicket.
  • Maiarangi Waipara (Tawa College) – 32 runs @ 10.67, 3 catches, 2 stumpings.
  • Raiha Jeory Reynolds (Takapuna Grammar) – 92 runs @ 22.5, 4 catches, 1 stumping.
